The Archivist

Overview

The Archivist is a calming game where you have to build your own exhibition. While people bring you intriguing artifacts, you need to use your detective skills to analyze them and determine their authenticity.

Once you’ve unraveled the object’s secrets, you get to decide its perfect place within your museum. Crafting a captivating exhibition attracts visitors, allowing you to unlock new areas and expand your collection.

Sound Design

Since the core idea for the game was to make it as relaxing as possible, i tried to emphasize that through the soundtrack. Naturally, the action takes place around the 90s, so my first thought was to make at least 2 piano themes that could complement each other. The gameplay was supposed to be longer than just a few minutes so a short soundtrack would have been too repetitive, so the best way to fix this issue was to add two more instruments with their own themes, and another two that would fill up the empty spaces and make everything a bit less predictable for the player.

About me

Hi, my name is Radu and I’m currently a CMGT student at Hanze University of Applied Sciences and I have been working to get in the audio industry ever since I was little.

My journey started when I was 7 years old and started studying piano and guitar at a Classical Music School. After 8 years I took the next step and studied electric guitar for another 5 years. In this period, I started a band with witch I had multiple live shows in some of the biggest venues in Bucharest. Close after that, the Electronic music production became my new big obsession, taking every opportunity I had to learn more and improve my skills. Being in this field for a while shaped the mindset I have, which helps me work easily with people who share the same passions as I do.
